Serie A Transfer Window: Juventus Closer to Locatelli
Juventus, which is one of the giants in the Italian Serie A league, is getting closer and closer to Sassuolo's Manuel Locatelli. Sassuolo and Juventus reportedly held a meeting to discuss further about the transfer of Manuel Locatelli.
Juventus made an offer to Sassuolo for Locatelli for 35 million euros or around Rp. 600 billion. Reportedly Sassuolo have also given approval, although the offer is lower than the previous 40 million euros plus bonuses. Reported by Sky Sports Italia, it is reported that Juventus and Sassuolo have not yet found an agreement, so the two clubs will have to hold further meetings at a later date.
The factor that made Locatelli's transfer process unfinished was the transfer formula. Juventus reportedly want to get Locatelli on loan first, before he will become a permanent player. Based on the news, Juventus wants to borrow Locatelli for two seasons and will be paid permanently in June 2023. This is related to Juventus who still has an obligation to pay a permanent fee in the 2022 season, namely Federico Chiesa.
Meanwhile, Sassuolo want Locatelli's loan process with a mandatory Juventus purchase scheme next summer. European transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio said that, according to information, Juve wanted an obligation to buy if Locatelli could lead Juventus to the Champions League.
Sassuolo still want the terms of the obligation to buy which can be safer, so that the transfer process will continue. Manuel Locatelli was targeted by Juventus when the player shone in Euro 2020 or Euro 2020. Manuel Locatelli became one of the key players in Euro 2020 who managed to lead Italy to become champions.
