Milan vs Panathinaikos: Rossoneri Win 2-1, Oliver Giroud Scores Brace
AC Milan managed to beat Panathinaikos when carrying out a test match with the Greek club. AC Milan won 2-1 with two goals scored by Oliver Giroud. This friendly match was held at the Nereo Rocco Stadium. AC Milan played in control of the game with 61% possession, twelve shots and five shots on target.
AC Milan's first goal came in the 16th minute when Fikayo Tomori gave Giroud a long pass and was met with a first-time shot. The ball went into the goal of Panathinaikos, and brought AC Milan 1-0 up.
Oliver Giroud scored again in the 43rd minute, he headed in Davide Calabria's cross and the ball went into Panathinaikos' goal. Stefano Pioli's men were 2-0 up until the first half was over.
Panathinaikos in the second half was more likely to attack the defense of AC Milan to catch up. Panathinaikos managed to score a goal through Fotis Loannidis who was a substitute in the 77th minute. Fotis Loannidis' goal was the only goal that Panathinaikos could score.
